Some of the key cast and crew from the female-driven SBS production share their experience on set.

Creator/producer Courtney Wise, producer Helen Bowden, actors Nicole Chamoun and Keisha Castle-Hughes, writer Tamara Asmar and director Shannon Murphy provide their takeaways from On the Ropes.

“One of the things that I get very excited about is that it’s a Muslim woman, very physical role, bucking the system and going for it,” Asmar says.

Murphy urges Australians to tune in to the four-part series from Wednesday 28 November on SBS and SBS On Demand.

“I think it is a portal into a world that we haven’t seen yet on Australian screens,” she says.
