Enterprise has facilitated the creation or expansion of Australian screen businesses that have gone on to become industry mainstays, including Hoodlum (Tidelands), Goalpost Pictures (The Sapphires, Top End Wedding), CJZ Productions (Go Back to Where You Came From), Essential Media and Entertainment (Doctor Doctor) and Made Up Stories (Little Monsters).

Furthermore, the program has provided Australian creators with the resources to pursue their career, including Sophie Hyde (Closer Productions) who has since directed Sundance-selected feature Animals and Kristina Ceyton (Causeway Films) who co-produced Venice award-winner The Nightingale.

Guidelines for the new Enterprise will be available in February 2019, and will include two streams:

  • Enterprise Business and Ideas, which will facilitate funding for screen businesses, and full or part time roles to build capacity, grow and innovate.
  • Enterprise People, for local and international placements to assist creators build skill sets, get experience, and ultimately grow their careers. There will be opportunities for both experienced and emerging creators.

Funding will be available for the 2018/19 financial year.

Enterprise will be managed by Screen Australia Industry Development Executive, Bali Padda. Expressions of interest meetings/calls can be requested after the guidelines are published.

The new guidelines will be announced in Screen Australia’s industry newsletter. Subscribe here
