New requirements for PDV work completed in Australia

From today, Producer Offset Final Certificate applicants will be required to expressly declare PDV work completed in Australia.

One of the principles of the Producer Offset is that the goods and services claimed as Qualifying Australian Production Expenditure (QAPE) are provided and undertaken in Australia.

From today (Monday 8 July), applicants applying for a Producer Offset Final Certificate are required to provide a Letter of Representation from all companies that provided PDV i.e. Post Production (including Sound), VFX and Animation services on the film, confirming the work took place in Australia.

If some of the work was undertaken overseas, this portion of the PDV must not be included as QAPE.

A template letter of representation is available as part of the final certificate application.
