Screen Australia appoints Ken Crouch as Training and Industry Development Manager

Screen Australia is pleased to announce that Ken Crouch will be joining the agency in February 2023 in the newly created role of Training and Industry Development Manager.

In this role Ken will develop and implement national programs to support capacity building and skills development for the Australian screen sector. Ken will report to and work closely with Head of Content Grainne Brunsdon, to build a national strategic framework supporting industry capacity and skills development.

Screen Australia will work with state government agencies, educational institutions, industry partners, industry guilds, broadcasters and streamers, local production companies, inbound productions and all levels of government to grow the capacity of the screen production sector, especially in crew roles.

Ken Crouch joins from his prior role as Chief Executive Officer of Screenworks which he held since 2014. There, Ken led the non-profit organisation in supporting and empowering screen creatives and crew across regional Australia through offering professional industry programs and activities for people at every career stage.

Prior to this, Ken held roles in the Executive Management team at Clarence Valley Council, overseeing the operation of multiple delivery units and teams, as well as the City of Sydney Council as part of the Sydney New Year’s Eve and Events executive leadership team. He holds a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts in Technical Production from NIDA. Ken serves on the advisory board of the Australian Screen Forum (New York), is an industry member of AACTA and the Screen Queensland Equity and Diversity Taskforce.
