Screen Australia has selected 11 emerging filmmaking teams to share in $989,000 of Hot Shots Plus funding.

Speaking at MIFF 37°South, Screen Australia COO Fiona Cameron revealed that 47% of successful production funding applications had female-led creative teams across a two-year average (2015/16 – 2016/17 inclusive).

Aaron Pedersen and Judy Davis will star in Mystery Road – The Series, a six part spin-off from Ivan Sen’s internationally acclaimed and award winning feature films.

Production has started on Bluey, an Australian animated preschool series created by Joe Brumm with the Emmy® award-winning Ludo Studio, co-commissioned by ABC KIDS and BBC Worldwide, with funding support from Screen Australia, in association with Screen Queensland.
