BEHAVIOURS AND ATTITUDES ACROSS GENDERS

BARRIERS TO MORE viewing

When asked what needs to change to enable more on demand viewing, VOD users nominated faster internet, cheaper content and more available content as the main barriers.

Male VOD users are more likely to consider price, lack of time and inadequate service as obstacles; whilst female VOD users are more likely to seek greater content and service options.

Female and male VOD users were equally likely to choose faster and cheaper internet, the ability to watch via a TV, knowing where to find content, and more original Australian content as barriers to greater viewing. Both genders equally felt that they already watched enough screen content.
