In this episode, Alex White tells of how she started out in the film industry by taking roles as a producer’s attachment, in post production, and then as an assistant to producer Nicole O’Donohue on Griff the Invisible.

“[It was] another incredible experience because I got to see the financing stage of the project. And from there, Jan Chapman was the executive producer and she needed someone to join her company and work with her,” she says.

“I was in the right place at the right time.”

White outlines how she began producing short films and the opportunities they presented, her advice for any producer starting out in the industry, and the seven-year journey to bring her first feature film Babyteeth to the big screen.

Babyteeth is releasing through Universal Pictures and screening in Australian cinemas from 23 July, 2020.
