Dale was born in Melbourne, Australia where he studied screenwriting at Swinburne University, Fine Art painting and photography at the Victorian College of the Arts, Cultural Studies and Cinema at LaTrobe University and the University of Melbourne, Art Direction at Award School and Masters of Multimedia Design at Monash University. He went on to write and develop several film and television projects before establishing Moon Room Films in 2016 to direct his first feature film LILITH.
