The Screen Guide

A DIFFERENCE IN SHADOW is a concise experimental piece in which writer/director Michael Mier comments on the influence of mass media and propaganda on an audience's perception. Concentrating heavily on and manipulating the relationship between vision and sound the story focuses on an old man and a young girl as they attempt to flee from the sound of approaching troops. With only match light to guide them they must escape the darkness before too much light is shone on the situation and perceptions are altered.
