Three-city average (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane); not including sports events 12-2 am; any discrepancies in totals are due to rounding.
1. Duration of programs is calculated by measuring the time from the beginning of one program to beginning of next program and includes advertising.
2. New Zealand programs: In 1998 only two hours of New Zealand programming were broadcast (Seven network stations screened the film Once Were Warriors). However, under the new Australian Content Standard, any New Zealand program broadcast from 1 March 1999 onwards decreases the broadcaster’s minimum Australian content requirements.
