Mika Nishimura

Mika has over 12 years of experience as a TV director/producer of mostly arts programs at SBS TV. Her documentary films include ‘The Snowy - the people’ (for the 50th anniversary of the Snowy Mountains Scheme), ‘Russell Page: A Dance Tribute" and ‘Lin Onus - Bridge Between Cultures’ which received the Finalist Award in the Documentary Portrait category at the 1999 New York Film Festival and the 1999 Louis Johnson Media Awards. While Mika has been away from documentary film making, she is now developing to direct a documentary film about 88 year-old ceramic artist, Hiroe Swen in Queanbeyan, NSW.
